What is a healthy weight?

A Body Mass Index uses an individuals weight and height to measure their ideal/ healthy weight. Though it isnt a real indicator of health, it allows a general idea of the excessive or deficient fat level of the individual.

  • Underweight means a BMI under 18.5
  • Healthy or normal weight means a BMI between 18.5 and 24.9
  • Overweight means a BMI between 25 and 29.9
  • Obese is a BMI over 30
